Having them still appear on the BT I suppose is ok, especially if they still have hacks available. However, there should be a mechanism to bump them off. Just like you can bump a Pacified/Truced player. Try to attack, get the red fail-box, click off and refresh. I don't see that it would be all that difficult to do and it would be a definite help to the hard core PvP players without adversely affecting anyone at all. Dan, how 'bout it? I am usually not pessimistic in my posts, but I too have encountered this issue many many many times; and sadly I don't see Dan fixing it any time soon. not as if you can hit every single person at once or your BT will be covered in untouchable players. the idea that you want 1 guy off 10 players where you got 9 left to be knocked off is retarded skip him, move on and hit someone else You couldn't possibly be more wrong Legionaire. As others have already commented, I too see 4 ships a day like this easy and most of the time it is more like 6 ships. What makes it even more annoying is that you have to constantly click over to the second page to find the next possible target.

Ah its happened at last I called it way back when people wanted to boost the TM action counts that there would be so many people that did BT zeroing that you would there will start to be more and more people you cant hit on the BT that you cant do anything to because they have already been zeroed.
I will say this, you made your bed now you got to sleep in it. So much for it being a worse case scenario, its was a real possablity you ignored me, you trolled me over it but I called it.
(and yes i know I will be trolled over this to)

(and yes i know I will be trolled over this to) This has absolutely nothing to do with the TM limits. You don't need TMs to disable people. It's been an issue ever since Action Counts were added over 2 years ago.

Action counts are there for a reason seeing as people lack the self control to pace themselves in pvp, and i have a question for you how often do you see people that have been zeroed on the BT now that the TM limit has been boosted. They are related, cause and effect you see, give people the ability of uncontrolled pvp without rules and you will see the proof of john gabriels greater Internet theory. The simple matter of the fact is that the groups that do pvp behave like a predator that has over culled its prey, what next the removal of action counts all together?

The rate hasn't changed one bit from when there was no TM restriction to the 50 limit to the 100 limit. TM's don't increase the number of people with 0 disables. If anything the exact opposite is true. The jerks who lack self control are more likely to use TMs to get extra raids and hacks because they are "going for the medal." Disabling people counts against the offensive actions thereby reducing the number of raids and hacks one can perform in a 24 hour period. Remove the TM restriction? I'd like to see it. I'd also be supportive of removing Action Counts altogether. Not so I can show my lack of self control, but because there was a lot less griping about PvP in the old days.

But thats just it its the way it use to be dan tried to make things so the game could appeal out side the hard core pvp style players hence why there was "rules" put in the game about how you cant raid or hack someone till you rob them of 6 hours worth of production, im rather sure alot of the player base would quit if they woke up and saw that they got raided and hacked 20 times each in the space of a night. Regardless while I would agree for in the more extreme cases to have a bump button on the BT basically a action that costs 5 energy just like a attack and makes it so someone drops off your tab, this could be done to people that you think is passive or that have been zeroed. The coding to make it so they dont show up at all would be a head ache and would require an overhaul of the entire detection system as we know it, and then there would be the bug fixes and all that junk.

I guess you missed the part of the suggestion about being able to bump 0 disable ships the same way you can bump truced/pacified players? The coding is already there.

NEO you continue to astonish with your idiotic notions. give me one good reason that during a PVP run, i should have 8 people i cant bump off the BT... seems kind of stupid.. i didnt zero them, why should I be penalized for them making other players so hostile... Also, what does it matter if theyve been zeroed and lost ~1hours worth of production.. you show me ANYONE who has lost 6 hours of production and ill quit right now. ive had my action count over 100 and been dropped almost to zero.. it MIGHT have cost me an 1-1.5 hours worth of research..

Icarium both you and darth have selective hearing....I said that making it so you have a bump button is a good idea but the part where they shouldn't even show up wasn't, now unless you have something to say that actually addresses something that was said please stop the ill attempts at being rude.

why would you want them to show up, just so you can bump them for an extra energy cost... thats just pointless. they shouldnt show up in the first place. the ONLY exception to this, is if someone else is currently zeroing them whilst youre hitting the other targets on your BT, and even then, zeroing someones disables isnt usually going to happen unless the player is online.

Is 5 energy really that much of a issue? it takes what 180 seconds to get that much energy at maxed charge rate, the reason why I say its a bad idea is that it is far far easier to code a bump button in then to redo the entire detection/scan system in order to remove zeroed players from the BT.

not to anyone with reasonable coding skills... if disables = 0 then you dont show up.. if halcd or calmed, ditto. sure its not exactly how it would be written, but its not too far off either.

The way things are with halcs and calming amps are fine they arnt going to change just to appease the fact that most of the pvp player base wants to go on a uncontrolled and unstopped rampage, if you hit a halc thats your own fault, your ether being lazy or careless, and with a bump button calming amps would be fixed to. So take what you can get and be happy with it.

As was pointed out above, "the issue of zeroed people showing up on the BT" existed before the TM limit went up and is actually completely unrelated*. I'm betting the chances of you admitting that you're conflating two unrelated things to push your "pacificity" agenda are pretty low though. *TMs are not required to kill ships, only energy.
