Galaxy Patriots and Overlord are at war.

So those looking for some good pickings may want to keep an eye out. I'm sure there are some who will target mine because they figure we're distracted. Given Overlord's play style tho (most of em are the type to be sort of frustrating doing multi raids when they disable ya), i'm taking a calculated bet that more folks will want to hit them.

Either way our crew is going to hold fast, hopefully w/class lol.

Those who have had the experience of encountering Overlord will need no convincing. Those who haven't may want to think twice re dealing with them.

Their normal method, allowed by the game to be fair, is a wolfpack/vulture approach. Four to six will work over a single player to spring any traps and disable the target. From there, there will be multi-raids and/or hacks. I usually get at least 3 working in tandem on me to be raided/hacked on average three times their after post disablement. If i'm off and repaired by a crew member, another disable seems likely to occur.

Thier leader Eubenhadd had been popping up on my alert list 4 or so times in the last two weeks for doing disable+raid or hack on my players(usaully 40 to 60 lower . I disabled him and hacked him asking him to leave mine alone.

Got wolf packed and multi raided in return. Tried to speak to what I thought was the main leader(may not have been to be fair) but was still getting hammered by them repeatedly after pointing this out. The annoying thing to me really, was when this started, my crew started getting hit even more w/out a declaration of war by them (i expect when i brawl to take a hit or five w/out further discussion, its why i only pointed out to them when they were doing it i was talking w/their leader re resolving this without further retaliation)

i've taken out most who helped eubenhadd at least once but the fellows are stubborn to give em credit. Were it not for the fact I disdain those who multiraid after a disablement ( I think the record now is held by Deathbyratts of their crew, for four raids by him/her self in a row post disablement (euben might be tied but i think his personal best was three))

Deathbyratts at least will communicate and has a sense of humor as much as he's a hardcore raiding pain in the posterior. Awhile back theirs were doing something similar and i posted a warning in forum. A month later when DbR steps in to help his leader he claims he was falsely accused and thats why he's in, but never responded in forum b/c he only saw it after the die down. Euben at another point before that was giving one of my lower rankers grief along similar lines as now, but thats their method, I think that time if memory serves my player gave up to pass over the list but he's now of a different disposition as he's now better ranked

So, Dan should stop giving out time manipulators, legions should have a max of 2, and Halcyons should last 8 hours... Oh and the comm window is stupid and should be removed.

In terms of the rest, i'm guessing you looked at a different thread so i see little point in engaging in a debate w/someone who refuses to pay attention and can only resort to the ad hominem without humor.

As to why I chose to put it here Drake, DUH, its a war game. There is no method so foul unless Dan or one of the other creators, says its foul. They even tolerate people like you, me and the rest of the characters of repute.

I don't really care, but if you have an agenda or a side pre-reading, make sure you let others know so we can respect you more...well maybe re the respect, since you got to give to get.

thats a pretty common tactic in legions over whelm the enemy so they wont mess with you i guess it just makes me want to kick some heads in.

to be fair, Hawke i am impressed with how well they do it and how often. What tends to get me irritated is the 4 or 5 raids that come down per disable, usually mostly by a single player.

Still I have some sincere respect for the majority of the crew - its like watching people throw themselves on the grenade w/the way some of their lower rankers handle eating the traps.

But yes, I find I do want to do some serious arse kicking and head bashing.

uh huh using the lower ranks as fodder. Gotta love that attitude. Personally I tend to try eating the traps so my lower ranked players have a shot at a kill and very nice bonus for disabling someone greater then themselves.

But I'll keep an eye out for them and try to run some interference for you. As I'm sure Hawk will as well since he's a blood thirsty nut job.

And a tip for you. Use their strategy against them. The more artifacts they use the fewer they have. Using time manipulators up is a valid tactic but it isn't necessarily the smartest one. Especially if you are using them against smaller ranked players. Using them against the bigger ranks will get you more in the long run.

WOW !!! I amazed how you come to the forum looking for help or should I say crying for help. Actually looking for other people to take the heat for you or to fight the battle should be fighting. lol Eubben, your'e entitled to your own pov, tho i'll give it as short thrift as you give mine. I am glad to see you communicating as opposed to just doin the kill-kill-kill thing. LOL you can spin any way you want to, the reality is you've made a habit of beating up on mine as i pointed out in the initial comm - you were alerted 4 times in two weeks by members of mine. Four times, Euben, if you weren't begging to be targeted back, you were being a bully as they were lower rankers. I hit low rankers on occasion too BUT lets expand our options eh?

But, lets say i'm wrong about you dear fellow, that you're really just swell. LOL Drake is a fan, tho i wouldn't necessarily take that as positive indicator given his rep, but he's a fan. If you are all thats right with the world then what i say here must be meaningless right because everyone would know you were a standup fellow as opposed to someone who comes across as a heavy handed bully. In short, you'd have no need to worry. But should some hold a grudge given your ... style, well then i guess perhaps you should take that into consideration with how you do your gameplaying.

incidentally bub, i didn't alert on you and yours till you had about hmmm i wanna say seven but it was at least five of your crew come in on your side. Nor do i see you denying I did speak with your leader Milo in terms of trying to be pleasant in working this out while you were going.... ape shall we say?

p.s. Eubben i've had better players n crew work me over. Please don't think you are the biggest baddest fellow(hint - there's always someone bigger n badder) To say I didn't scream then would probably be untrue, but rest assured when we're done you'll be as black and blue as me I promise you.

Now chest thumping aside, if you want to discuss terms of war, put something forth in terms of the way you think it should be done. Otherwise, its great to hear from you, but this is taking me away from getting payback on your crew for mine.

that said, in btwn hacking the crap outta you as we disable each other, your members do their wolfpack/vulture thing( personally i can't say i like you not that ya care. I do respect your members tho for their gumption and willingness to back your play to point of disable) and raid me till i got artis coming out the wazoo has simply become tedious (Tom that means tired before you hurt yourself thinkin huh) so lets make the battle short if not sweet:

THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (PROPOSED)
1 a 2 hour window agreed upon in advance. I'm sorta tired of stepping out and coming back trying to figure out how my counter got reset lol

2 use as many artifacts as you want/can access. I'd ask you to go by the honor system in terms of not taking from your members but i'm afraid i don't trust ya that much so if your legion is willing to support your habit fine. That also takes care of any credit card tendencies.

3 no assists by legion members in terms of attacks on each other. Its just you and I. In terms of repairs, i still have that trust issue w/ya so i suppose i might as well make it official so neither of us can claim the other is cheating.

4 As there's no knockout w/this setup, i suggest we go by a count, each raid, disable, hack counting as 1. Highest number of same inflicted on the other wins.

5. Upon completion of the two hour window, thats it for a week between us and our respective legions barring either of us reporting the outcome for those sitting in lounge chairs swilling a beer. A cool down period guaranteed to get us off each other's radar.

6. Your crew leaves my crew alone once terms are agreed to. Mine will do the same. Likewise no one bothers you or me till we after the above 1 week cooldown. Your a leader so i'm going to assume you can control crew sufficiently re this just like i should mine. Tell DbR its been fun but i'm about tired of putting his crew thru artifact college(don't worry he's got a sense of humor and he'll know the reference. hell he may explain it to you)

7. For any one on either crew who screws this up, the penalty shall be hmmm 1 artifact worth at least 1000 points from the offender to the offended sound fair? Failure to honor said danegeld allowing targeting of said legion by... idk maybe Talon Co. if they're willing to act as referees on this.



I can't think of any other issues to address in this holmgang.

A-when I posted, I was not expecting allies to run to my aid so much as to take advantage of the chaos of the fighting. There is only one group I approached before this breaking loose that I sought alliance with. There is a difference btwn people coordinating to undermine a enemy and people taking advantage. I guess you never studied history seriously if you haven't seen the difference.

B-i am told some of the crew claim i talked trash re them(the crew, lol Tom and I certainly dont care for each others pov), BUT 1) actually complemented their organization and teamwork several times and 2) never said anything they did was against the game rules.

so end of the day, i'm gonna find a blonde to translate and learn chinese i think. It seems easier

you can take that as a no. Just to many variables. There still maybe a way to do this.

LOL pardon me for laughing but you felt I yammer too much, and even outlining every issue I could think of, you still found variables. Thats ok, I might have missed something but don't complain i'm longwinded then(even tho i'll admit i am lol).

Different preference in terms of combat arrangements is fine, but i'd like a ceasefire on behalf of our respective members while we sort this out. Obviously if its a thumbs down we can go back to legion war if either side deems appropriate.

Follow up here or PM if you prefer. Either way please confirm re ceasefire since as far as i know given the amount of disables i've seen on my crew in last few days it seems your crew has been pretty active. LOL i can only hope mine give as good as they get.
