If you are wondering if I wanted to join whatever clan it was (guy with yoshi avatar, im already in one.) Dude. All I said is that raider sucks. Hacker is just as bad, although has a good alternative (spy).

You only need to have 1 reason for something to suck... anyway.

1) Raiding is easy enough without the profession. (Same for hacker).
2) Raider gives you no bonus that helps - Raiding is a small, simple part of the game that gives few advantages.
3) Raider does not increase the amount you get from raids - only the chance of success.
4) The Fixer profession's hull boost aids in disabling your foe, which is a requirement for raiding. Thus, Fixer helps raiding and helps keep you safe.
5) So does Physicist.

There are 5. I doubt you can counter them.

1. If you decide to raid sometimes you get traps, points for artifacts, the ships cargo, stuff like that. I usually get pretty good stuff. There's is danger involved if the enemy decides to attack you.

2. You have the chance to rip off whatever your enemy is carrying, you tell me thats not an advantage? You can't do that with hacker.


3. Why dose that even matter? I just care I stole something without a hitch.

4. This has nothing to do with fixer just raider

Okay, to answer your points 1 by 1.
Point 1 has nothing to do with the original point.
Point 2: "Rip off whatever your enemy is carrying"? Yeah, true. Getting one artifact or a few minerals isn't much of an advantage honestly... it might be early on but it quickly loses it's value.
Point 3: You get barely anything from raids... I generally don't bother unless I need a badge or the person has done something to annoy me and I have a few TMs handy, even then I will prioritize hacking.
Point 4: You said give 10 reasons why it sucks. Sucking is to do with balance against other professions - thus it is relevant.
Point 5: Yeah, it's off topic. That is my bad.
Point 6: No you don't. If a computer was the fastest in the world and crashes every 10 seconds it sucks right? Why would I care about anything else?
Point 7: Yeah. I did. I hated it almost as much as merchant (which is started as)
Point 8: Have you? I was unaware that swearing and acting all hard was responsible.
