Besides the point in this one SKAL. This has been a frequent topic for ages before someone even pointed out the trap probes usage.

I give it a +1, as always.

But it's a win-win scenario for pacifists and pvpers :

pvpers wouldn't need to waste null fuses for halced players, unless they hit a k trap on first hit.

It would also eliminate the risk of pacifists being killed even with halc. ( Some halcs are set of on kill shot)

main argument number one. I want to BUMP people who APPEAR to be running a halc, which is ANYONE who has an action count of 3/5/5, I should be able to bump them without the game thinking im attacking in force.

TWO. why dont YOU check their action count... if you see 3/5/5, DONT HIT THEM! you can, but dont be surprised if you hit a halc.

THREE. If your hitting them and they have two other traps (krio and omicron) then theres a damn high chance they have a third trap just waiting in store for you... take a guess what it is.

yea-NO -1

pacifists/people concentrating on other aspects of the game have the right to set their traps in the order they want.

these Halc first ideas are always suggested with one of the pros being "PvPers don't have to deal with the consequences of attacking someone".

you attack me, i'll shove a Krio down your throat, keep coming and you'll eat a halc if I'm busy with other aspects of the game.

thats entirely not the argument being presented here.. the OP just wants halcs to trigger on the first hit. nothing was said about other traps.

My post on the other hand included them, since ive seen this thread many times over and im ok with the way things are. the EASIEST way to avoid the halc is to find someone with anything higher then 3/5/5. after that, its a gamble on what you'll hit first. but most people apply traps in the same order

Okay guys, i understand, i was suggesting it in the interest of everyone, not solely on my background pvp experiences, i saw alot of topics about null fuses wasted over halced players. Anyways, i just thought up of another flaw, if halced players are being bumped all the time, they would need to reset there traps.. frequently

Anyways, sorry if i err.. annoyed anyone by suggesting something that wasn't thought through thoroughly.

Simple solution, zero their hacks, get yourself alerted, and now you have quite a few targets to hit

To be honest I kind of hate hitting a kvt, halc when I'm out of trap probes so hitting halc on my first hit will make my badge run alot easier so somewhat +1 here as a PvPer.

i agree with that one... what SHOULD happen is QFT goes off on a RANDOM hack, just like halc/krio/omic, and it should ALSO block you from getting the research for THAT hack, then you can null it if you can, and continue of for badges..or if you already got a badge, continue on to the next victim.

yea but it takes multiple hits to set off the traps because you need multiple hits to get a successful disable you only need 1 hack to get a successful hack. The research part i agree with completely because i personally find the QFT a troll trap because it doesn't protect the person from getting research points stolen it just hurts/annoys the person getting the research points.

Happens to me all the time; I count the "loss" of energy and a fuse as the cost of doing business. No different from the loss of energy balance when ranking or loss of resource production when capacity is reached. PVP is rough sometimes - cry about it.
