========Original low rank version=======
Krommel, Razor Defeater (Crimson Blades)
Info: When the scouts of the Crimson Blades spot a difficult target, they send the Krommel to destroy it and anything in its way; a job it was specifically designed to achieve. However, like their smaller cousins, it has poor defensive capabilities, instead relying solely on their firepower. Multiple opponents can easily gain an advantage in destroying the Krommel.
Rank 30, Rare Elite (vs 3) NPC. Alerted to ranks 10 to 75
Stats: 200 shields, 1600 hull, 450 attack, 70 defense.
No abiities. Expires in two days.
Drops: Crimson Auto-Laser, Phase Cutter Chassis, 750 mineral points. (10%, 20%, 70%)
(Don't mind how many mistakes there might be in this drawing, It's just the general idea. It borrows some of the design of the Razor Marauder)
Basically it would appear earlier than any other Elite NPC (and with that being the easiest Elite) and give the new players a bit more to do / provide a better first impression of the game, introduce some features slightly earlier and so on. Maybe even tip new players into joining an established legion when they come across one. Is it top priority to implement it? I wouldn't say so, but it would be nice to give something new to the lowbies.
===========Revised Mid-Rank version, some of the ideas suggested by Dreadlost.=============
Krommel, Razor Defeater. (Crimson Blades)
Info: When the scouts of the Crimson Blades spot a difficult target, they send the Krommel to destroy it and anything in its way; a mission that it was specifically designed for, and one that it's pilots are willing to achieve even at the cost of themselves. Highly maneuverable, small, and possessing a lot of firepower, the Krommel is more than a match for any individual ship.
Rank: 300 Elite (vs 3) NPC. Alerted to ranks 200 to 500.
Stats: 4500 shields, 9000 hull, 1550 attack, 2200 defense.
Ability: -Mission Bound: When attacked it has a 4% chance of ramming into the attacking ship; disabling itself while dealing 7500 direct damage to the attacking ship in question. This ability is only available to the NPC when it is below 15% stability. (if it does ram into you, consider it an early disable on the NPC, the top 3 damagers still get their rewards.).
Rewards:
-Krommel Weapon-Core Shard- Permanently increases your ship's attack by 5 (essentially an Android Tactical Officer but doesn't contribute to raiding).
-Crimson Base Cannon- Permanently increases the base's attack by 5.
-Charged Crimson Amplifier- Hugely amplifies the intensity of weapon systems, increasing attack by 20% for 8 hours. Cannot stack with Crimson Amplifier.
(Odds,: 20%/40%/40%)
