Please allow the shield to fully repair along with the hull. You only get 2 full repairs, sometimes 1, depending on how it's played out, so we as the defenders want to make it count and restoring the shield can be the difference in a successful defend.

I'd agree that shield needs a way of repairing, but some bases are really hard to kill as it is. It's an issue of balancing the not-so-strong bases, with the very strong bases. Recharge seems fine to me though. The greater your max shields, the more recharge per two mins. It's like a buffer against the damage.

The point of shield and hull is that they act differently. Why should shields gain the repair ability of hull? It would remove a lot of the strategy from base defense if you could repair both. I'd also need to hear a reason for making disabling bases harder before I could get on board with such a massive change to the mechanics of bases.

I think he's asking about Base Shield Restorers and Shield Amplifiers.
Although that would be a good idea, it would need a cool down timer like
when you repair the base hull.

Smaller legions asking for assistance against the bigger ones, not too hard to understand.
Granted, they would use those arts earlier than later, and ultimately lose
in the long run, but, it doesn't hurt to ask if there is anything use able out there.

Consider how much harder this will make bases though. Mid rank legions will struggle to take out any decent bases within the 8 hour window. High rank legion bases will be (baring misclicks or failure to monitor the lock) virtually invincible. High rank legion battle groups will still be able to take out bases (many get killed before buffing, so it wouldn't increase the effort required for them in most cases), and get more clamps for their bases, while mid rank legions will get less silvers (less clamps, less ship mods, less barrier nexuses), therefore widening the gap between bases and the players in the respective legions even more.

In my opinion this pushes things in the wrong direction.

If there should be a base shield modification, I'd ask for a AP costing buff that increase the rate the shield recharges. That way legions would face a choice, an immediate durability boost via repair or a slow over the time (but possibly with bigger overall effect per AP) recharge. Won't make base much harder to kill and might add some more tactic to it.
Tbh, I don't particularly like the effect of shield recharger, it really lowers the distinction of shield vs hull. If it was up to me, shield recharger would be +500% recharge value over 10 min or something like that.

A way to restore base shield would be nice - even if it's a one time thing like the repair hull (not really a one time thing - just say after you repair hull you have to wait another 4 hours)

not sure about full repair, but something that uses ap to replenish the shields? Or have shields replenish a bit faster?
