If you hack a player that is under a halcyon you will do no damage (so people won't complain about being disabled under the effect of a halc by multihacking), if you score a critical hack the amount of damage the hack will do is tripled.


You hold a good point, I'll make the change to how it behaves with halcs. I don't think I'll put in the triple damage on crit hacks though, if you have a shitload of cloaking then you'll be scoring crit hacks nearly all the time.

You have a good point regarding how much damage vygoid and zolazin racial crew can do when your crew gets to such a critical mass which was something I didn't have in mind at all. Which means that I'll be making a tweak to them
Maybe something like...

"Zolazin: Assailant: Pilots of small heavily cloaked fighters that, when you attack, have a 30% chance to deal additional damage equivalent to the number of assailants you have. Maximum damage done by this bonus will be calculated differently depending on your opponent's damage cap.
-If the damage cap is lower than 2x your rank, then the maximum bonus dealt will be an average of both numbers.
-If the damage cap is higher than 2x your rank, then the maximum damage this bonus will provide is 2x your rank." ?

Something similar would have to be done to vygoid using a formula that has cloaking and rank in mind but I'll have to stay with the drawing board with this one for a while.

I also had a similar idea that might go along well with this suggestion... Race/Profession specific abilities to turn a stack of regular artifacts into a temporary bonus artifact or a planetary structure, and these would all be sell-able in the trade center. This would reduce regular artifacts on the open market -- good for all... And give each race/profession something unique to sell back. :)

That seems interesting, what ideas did you have in mind for the specific combinations?

I don't like your reserch one, maybe +2 Research storage per crew?

-Human: Adviser: Humans are fast learners and great tacticians, thus some individuals study enemy tactics and suggest ways to counter them, +4 defense per adviser.

We should try and NOT replicate what can already be done, I suggest +1 Planet slot Per 400 rounded down

-Konqul: Infantry: The Konqul are extremely aggressive combatants on the battlefield due to centuries of warfare, infantry provide +3 invasion attack.

I suggest Troop platoon, Adds 10 Troops for raid count, No other effect..




-Mylarai: Prospector: The Mylarai are skilled miners, their prospectors are responsible for locating rich mining sites, +3 mining per prospector.

Collectors +2 mineral storage per rank



-Xecti: Warrior: Xecti individuals trained and equipped for flight and combat in space. Your ship gains +1 attack and defense per warrior. (unlike race bonus this also applies when you're on the offensive.)

I suggest each rank increases the chance of random events happening on planets by some very small %


-Kronyn: Archivist: Archivists are Kronyn individuals who have dedicated their lives to furthering the research of the species as a whole. +4 Research per Archivist.

Think Tank +2 Research Storage per rank


-Litheor: Tunnel Coordinator: The Litheor are a race that live beneath the surface of planets, their Tunnel Coordinators are responsible for concealing planet's infrastructure beneath the ground to render their planets far better defended. All of your planets gain +1 defense per Tunnel Coordinator (not multiplied by legion bonus or planetary multipliers such as barrier nexuses, this is added to the total).

Subtraction citizen, +1 Cloak to all planets per rank. Your race has learned how to hide under the crust of the planet and avoid being found.
