account hibernation

 I've been playing now for about 3 yrs. If there was one thing that I would change from my top ten #1 would be account hibernation. My maintenance is roughly 7B and if I go to my real life I suffer greatly at the hands of maintenance collection. It takes a lot to acquire the funds to maintain a 3 yr. old account. Why isn't there a way to stave off the collector? I enjoy the game but rebuilding from scratch every time I come back from work is repulsing my planets are stolen my account is empty from pirates it's impossible to make a return to former glory, if you have to rebuild from scratch

Dan changed things a while back so that if you don't log in for 3 days or more it stops taking upkeep from you.

That clarification came out during a 3 month period of very sketchy internet service for me. Obviously I missed it. I'm good for all parts of a joke.
