since no one is replying, i will give me 2 cents...
No sure what's your research and artifacts per hour... but at your ranking, i believe its above average cuz I seen most ships only have good attack power but very weak on defense. When I was at your ranking... I try very hard NOT to rank up until my attk & def are 10X of my current rank. (So if you are at 85 rank, I would target getting 850 attk and 850 def before rank up) Later, I increased to 11X, 12X, 13X...etc. But my energy, scans and cloaks were always extremely weak. Since it's almost impossible to build all stats the strongest... something needed to be lag behind.
Of course, it's all depend on your productions. But at your current build, you should think about adding "shield". Having some shields will definitely gain benefits for many areas. Hope that help! Also... be best if you could tell us your productions and your long term GL goals, I m sure many experienced players will be willing to help you. Good Luck & Cya!

ur cargo is hugely lagging behind: a small cargo means worse minerals. also, id remove some of ur scan and trade it for hull. u dont need shield for another 70-120 ranks so i wouldnt add it yet

i feel like you are doing good and on your way. i never listened to too much advice besides building lots of decks. as far as teching goes, do what you feel like too, i splashed in this and that and always like being well rounded. Others really like specializing in one tech, but it was never for me.
Im pretty sure cargo has nothing to do with minerals, although it is nice to keep a stockpile of artifacts.
shields i think are the worst investment in the game. hull is much better per space used. And for "defense structures" you can use all attack structures anyways (invasion defense= total attack+defense)

I wouldn't invest rank points in cargo, but you REALLY need some. Maybe boost your artifact production?

Cargo - I agree! I won't waste my valuable Rank Pts into cargo, currently I throw all my RP into deck. Again... it's all depend on your own direction of this game. Some power level players prefer investing into energy Shield - Yes, its such a spacetaker with shield, maybe its tough to get shield when you are pressing for more decks to expand in other areas. But trust me... eventually you need to get your shield up.... 50 on shield is way tooooo low with your small hull. 2-3 different attackers from BT can easily disable you when you are offline. Because your hull has weaken from first 1-2 attackers Oh! and one more good tips for you..... Advises are free, and people will always try to give people some kind of advises.... I normally check their fruits before taking any advises from them. In another word, I would listen to others, but only take advises from the best

i disagree heavily on "0 in cargo" nonsense. it depends how you play.
Here's my game plan, i invested a bit into cargo early, then around 150-200 i just have been 5 decking (current rank 279, Deck 2050, cargo 4840)
1. Easier, instead of recieving and selling minerals over and over, it just one or two batches 2. I'm an artifact hoarder, anything i get i save at least a dozen just in case i need to go to war with someone or someone in my legion needs 3. Also i invested heavily into artifacts(usual ratio for me is per 1 min, 2 art 1.5 res production) and now im above average deck size even considering i invested too much into cargo.

The only time that a player should be putting points into cargo is before they can get a steady flow of cargo enlarging artifacts. After that, never. But until then id recommend 1 point in cargo for every 8 or 9 in decks.

Exactly, the only time to put RP into cargo is at very low levels because you dont have a ready supply of tesseracts and mass storage pods. Always keep your research above 20k and you will never have a cargo shortage even if you are an artifact hoarder. Everything should go to decks until you have all the space you need. Then start looking into engineers. Sheilds are great for when you aren't going to be online. Otherwise hull is much more efficient if you log in several times a day.

I've only gotten 3 tesseract containers and used about 4 RPs for cargo so I've got more cargo than you in my mid 60s. I know a lot of folks are saying no cargo with rank points, but tons of people misuse RPs at the start of the game and cargo isn't the worst place for 'em. Scientists is worse.
