how about putting energy cubes back in the draw ? except they will be DARK ENERGY CUBES, where gained experience is -50% for 12 hours

why would you do that? people usually use E. cubes to rank up and if you don't want to rank up, save them.

there are people who want to do things with the energy, but don't like to rank up. they believe that if they slow rank they will have a stronger ship for their rank, there are arguments for and against this and each side has valid points.

either way it's just a persons preference.

so this would be good for slow rankers, I would certainly love this and I'm not a slow ranker.

i figure the only way to get the cubes back in the artifact draw was if there was some kind of side effect from using them
instead of -50%xp, how about -99% scan, or -50% attack or defense or cloak ? or maybe you would have a certain amount of time to use the energy ? some kind of drawback is necessary to bring the cubes back......

eh life in the fast lane is better, constant energy refills and if you're smart, the new planets you get can keep up with research so you don't fall behind :D

like I said, it's a preference, I want the energy, but I don't always want to level, might just put me within viewing range of someone who I don't want to get in a fight with.

If i can get full nrg of an art but 50% less exp i still would not care i would like it. i have nrg to gain arts npc hurt ppl not ranking is no big deal any more.+1

Does it occur to anyone that there are some design issues if penalties are being considered a good thing ?? I figure it's mainly that ppl want easier pvp by staying lower rank, but it still just confounds me.
