"Best" Rift Strategy...? (Currently ends in 33x / 37x / 40x)

So chatting with some legionmates about the new lepus data kernals, and thought about the "easiest" way to get the "best" rift (without having to pass a planet to another player...obviously you could improve things more by having multiple players use their kronyn datacubes on the planet.) Obviously, easy and best are subjective here; the extra effort over rifting a terran or other planet that has all 3 resources much higher probably isn't worth the extra level of mining this would offer. But anyway...
Basically it would involve finding a mining:arti matched toxic (or ideally with arti one higher than mining). So, for example:
VS / Sparse / None - Start (m / a / r) VS / Sparse / Sparse - 3 tributes/gifts of the stars or PDOs or Erudition to get research 1 higher than mining 14x / 15x / 15x - 24 terraformers to raise all 16x / 15x / 15x - 1 toxic purifier to raise mining 16x / 20x / 15x - 5 enumeration crystals to raise artifacts 16x / 20x / 17x - 2 lepus data kernals to raise research 16x / 20x / 23x - 6 kronyn data cubes to raise research (note that this is where you'd abandon the planet for somebody else to use theirs - but we're assuming a solo effort) 18x / 22x / 25x - Isolytic Irradiator to raise all 3 by 2x (planet size change doesn't matter) 33x / 37x / 40x - Subspace Fissuron to create a rift
Obviously...that's a lot of work. But am I missing anything that could raise it higher (without having to involve a second player)?
Also, presumably it'd be easier to get tributes of the stars than terraformers, as on average you'll get 7+ of them per month assuming you perfectly use your tribute ability every 40 hours (depending on how much you NPC) - but ignoring the different ways of getting mining / arti / research to X / X+1 / X+1 so you can use terraformers to 14x/15x/15x - what else could be done?
I recognize if you find a natural dyson with higher than 18x / 22x / 25x starting stats then you could obviously do better as well, but somehow I think finding a toxic that fits the criteria is more likely for most folks - everything above could be done w/missions, "normal" NPCing, base hitting and GP purchases (in the case of thraccti and the fissuron) without requiring a huge amount of luck as well. (Well, terraformers require some luck, and enumeration crystals require some luck, but with enough NPCing if you are less than rank 2k and in a large enough legion you don't need a huge amount of luck, just time, whereas expanders and finding a dyson need a LOT of luck...)

Not recommended but you could use trellith resequencers before the data cubes on the research and mining. So after the data kernels, 7 resequencers to get the stats to 20x/20x/20x, ends up 37x/37x/43x.

And if you're really, really lucky you could get it to 38x Artifact using the Morphogenic Enhancer while it is at 19x Artifact, for 37x/38x/43x
This means you wouldn't have to rift an Irradiated, and could start with a Terra, Desert, or Icy and get +2 artifact bonus from your Adaptive Spires.

If anyone has a rift worthy planet and would like to have extra scans on it for the uldri artis, send me a PM. I'll even toss a few CTP your way since that's the only planet type I'll never personally have and would like to finally complete that medal

Ahh, haven't seen those yet, thanks!
My legion mate also mentioned the "Trader's Boon" artis, which I also haven't seen, which can upgrade a random production up to 20x (rather than choice).
Good point on the adaptive spire as well.

1. Get a crapload of CTP/a crapload of luck. 2. Get an amazing arti dyson. 3. Rift it!

Take the comment about Icy as a "theoretical best," for non-Dyson rift -- if we are talking about making a practical Dyson, you definitely never, never want to use a melter for anything but MC oceanic.

heya ... currently restructuring / updating the maximizing planets page of the wiki. before i get into the meat of updating the how-to's in the sections below, can i get a check on the listings in the following tables to make sure i did not miss anything ? Table of Planetary TransformationsTable of Resource Uplifting Artifacts and AbilitiesTable of Artifacts that Change Planet Sizei also added a table to the toxic purifier page

Since you included the Chronofield Projector which isn't really a transformer but I do understand why you included it. Do you want to include the 4x Morphogenic Inhibitor = invincible? You can still get terraformers after rank 2200. Tectonic Compiler: Size +1, only usable on Prismatic Planet.

Maximizing Planets page on the wiki has now been restructured and repopulated. please advise if i have messed up any of the links or gotten any of the details wrong. here is how the updated Rift section currently reads: Maximum Rift Planets Each player only gets 3 rift artifacts, so deciding when to use them is a critical decision. To make the best use of them, you should use the Subspace Fissuron on the best planet you can find (e.g. a natural dyson with more than 23x artifact richness) or the best planet that you can build. From the previous sections, that would currently be a C planet with 23x megarich artifact, 22x megarich mining, and 22x megarich research created by: * M desert, toxic, or terra planet with 19x megarich artifact, 20x megarich mining, 20x megarich research * use a Morphogenic Enhancer (and getting the +2 artifact richness instead of the +1 richness or +1 size) to get a M desert, toxic, or terra planet with 21x megarich artifact, 20x megarich mining, 20x megarich research * use a Quasi-Spacial Expander to get a VM desert, toxic, or terra planet with 21x megarich artifact, 20x megarich mining, 20x megarich research * use a Gamma Crystallizer, Isolytic Irradiator, or The Gaia Seed on the desert, toxic, or terra to get a C planet with 23x megarich artifact, 22x megarich mining, 22x megarich research ** NOTE: Mass Surface Melter *could* be used on a VM icy to get a MC oceanic planet with 23x megarich artifact, 22x megarich mining, 22x megarich research, but doing so would lose the +2 size benefit over VM, that is the only way to get a MC planet other than rifting Using only 6 Kronyn Data Cubes * use a Subspace Fissuron to get a MC rift planet with 38x megarich artifact, 37x megarich mining, 37x megarich research * use 6 Kronyn Data Cubes to get a MC rift planet with 38x megarich artifact, 37x megarich mining, 43x megarich research Maximum Kronyn Data Cubes * use 66 Kronyn Data Cubes to get a MC rift planet with 23x megarich artifact, 22x megarich mining, 88x megarich research * use a Subspace Fissuron to get a MC rift planet with 38x megarich artifact, 37x megarich mining, 103x megarich research Reality Transfuser * use a Reality Transfuser to get the large moons effect which would boost the 81-space MC planet to 97-space

Actually, if you want to get really hardcore, suggest finding a VL desert, toxic, barren, or terra with a Archotage Power Grid.

Is it generally agreed that large moons would be better than, say, rings? I'd like to know before I start with the rest of the upgrades. Also, does anyone really sell natural Dysons any more?
